Abbas Akhavan

This publication was produced in 2017 on the occasion of the exhibition Abbas Akhavan at the Museum Villa Stuck (Munich) from June 29, 2017 to October 1, 2017.

Abbas Akhavan can be counted among a generation of emerging Canadian artists reflecting on social issues through ephemeral, site-specific works. Akhavan's sculptures, installations, drawings, videos, and performances deal with destruction and exclusion, but also with acts of preservation and restoration.
