In partnership with Catriona Jeffries, CAG is pleased to host a launch for Tanya Lukin Linklater’s publication My mind is with the weather. Lukin Linklater will be joined in conversation by poet and editor Michael Nardone.
Published on the occasion of her recent three-part exhibition of the same name, My mind is with the weather documents a series of significant recent works produced by Lukin Linklater and her collaborators, highlighting her long-term research into relational gestures such as conversation, movement, listening, and touch.
Featuring contributions from Eungie Joo, Layli Long Soldier, Tanya Lukin Linklater, and Beth Piatote, the publication is edited by Frances Loeffler and co-published by the Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver; Oakville Galleries; and the Southern Alberta Art Gallery Maansiksikaitsitapiitsinikssin.

Biographies
Tanya Lukin Linklater (Alutiiq/Sugpiaq, b. 1976, Kodiak Island, USA) undertakes embodied inquiry in rehearsal, performance, video, installation, and writing. Her recent exhibitions include Aichi Triennale, Japan; Gwangju Biennale, South Korea; New Museum Triennial, New York; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; and Toronto Biennial of Art. Inner blades of grass (soft), inner blades of grass (cured), inner blades of grass (bruised by weather), including works from the last ten years and new commissions, and curated by Kelly Kivland, will be presented by the Wexner Center for the Arts in 2024. Tanya lives and works in Nbisiing Anishnaabeg aki.
Michael Nardone is a poet and editor based in Montréal. Recent works include Aural Poetics, In Vivid Density, and, with Dana Michel, Yellow Towel: A Score. In 2025, Talonbooks will publish his book of dialogues on poetics, Convivialities.
