Open Studio
For our first remote Open Studio with Erin Boniferro of Collage Collage, Erin shows us how materials found around the house can be used to make colourful collages inspired by the work of Madiha Aijaz and her videos and photographs featuring spaces and places in Karachi, Pakistan.
Watch the video and follow along as Erin creates a mystery room from scrap materials. She’ll show you how to layer found images with drawings, paper and other everyday supplies to create a space of your own making. Gather the materials below at home to get started.
Materials
- construction paper
- scrap paper, wrapping paper
- magazines you can cut up (home design magazines work well)
- markers, crayons and/or pencil crayons
- scissors
- glue stick
- washable paint (optional)
This activity is recommended for artists 3 years and up.
